Thoughts of Spring! Or Not...

My Georgie and Laura both participated in the Thoughts of Spring Blog Party, and it looked like fun!  So here are my answers to the questions, but without any pictures like the others did.  Also, I'm not really sure how these questions relate to a Thoughts of Spring blog party, but they are pretty good questions nonetheless! I hope you enjoy!

How would people describe your personality? (If they could only use ONE word.) Are they right?

Wow, this one is a little bit hard, methinks.  If people could only use one word to describe me, I think it would be "vibrant".  Although it depends on if they are thinking positively or not.  I could also be described as "bossy".

What celebrity/celebrities would create a “Star-Struck” feeling if you saw them in real life?

Bing Crosby.  Definitely.  Him, and maybe...Sean Connery. Although I wouldn't really want to meet Sean Connery in real life. So there.

Who is your favorite blogger? Why?

My favorite blogger? Yikes, that's another tough one.  Alright, I'll answer it if we all understand that this is only two of my favorite bloggers. ;)  The first one is Emily Rose from Simply Vintagegirl.  Her photographs, crafts, and general appreciation for beautiful things inspire me.

The second one is Beth from In Word.  She doesn't post very often, but when she does it's funny, poignant, or so downright awesome that it's a wonder we don't all die of coolness overload.  Yep, I think that's about it.

What is your comfort food/drink?

Eheh...does water count?  I'm not too crazy about hot drinks, and although juice and pop is good, nothing beats a glass of cold water.

Be brave – tell us something very random and weird about yourself.

Although I understand that I have not really thought this through, I have thought it would be kind of cool to be a trucker.  Well, you did ask, after all.

Do you have a strong desire to do something you’ve never done? What is it?

I would like to play Anne of Green Gables in a play someday.  Not because I'm a good actress, or want to be an actress, but just because I think it would be fun.  Maybe the red hair? ;)

Movies: Action, Drama, Romantic Comedy, Documentary, Comedy? What are your favorite genres?

I like: Action, Drama, Romantic Comedy, Documentary, and Comedy. A smattering of everything is pretty nice, although I don't like everything in each category.

Books: Fiction, Non-Fiction, Romance, Biographies, True Stories, Self-Help, Devotional/Study? What are your favorite types of reading material?

My favorite types of reading material consists of anything that inspires me in any way, shape, or form.  If that is any of the categories that are listed above then that's awesome!  This is basically the same answer as the movies.

Music: Funk, Rock, Country, Jazz, Classical, Film Score, Blues, Classic Rock, Crooner, Alternative, Heavy Metal, Techno? What are your favorite types?

Here, I am a little more picky.  I definitely enjoy a few Country songs, and a lot of Classical pieces.  Film scores are inspiring, as well as Soundtracks, Gospel, Hymns, and the occasional OLD popular song.

If you inherited a million dollars, what is the first thing you would do with your money?

The selfish answer is...I would travel to Europe.  In reality, I would put it into my bank account.

Name one weakness of yours (confession is good for the soul).

I think that I am a rather shallow person.  I pretend to be oh so knowledgeable and discerning, but in truth, I don't usually see past the material things.  It's a shortcoming that I know I must work to overcome.

If you could live anywhere at all (and take all your loved ones with you), where would you go?

It would be a toss-up between Europe (But I guess I wouldn't really want to live in Europe), and Chile.  Yes, Chile.

Strange Talent? Can you juggle basketballs, put your legs behind your head or perform some other strange feat?

I can play MarioKart Wii upside down.  Or at least I used to be able to.  My siblings were a little annoyed with me, and it usually made me dizzy, but since I can't whistle I have to be able to do something!

What’s something you consider yourself to be good at? (Don’t worry, it’s not bragging, it’s acknowledging a God given gift).

Crafts.  Although I'm not super good at coming up with brilliant ideas out of thin air, I can execute an already thought of idea with ease and a measure of creativity.

What is one of your favorite things to catch a whiff of?

Rain, and Italian food.

When you leave a social gathering, do you wish: You would have talked more or You would have talked less?

Sometimes both.  More often than not is is the latter, simply because I don't think before I speak.  The former would be more desirable.

If money wasn’t a factor, what stores would you shop in?

Christopher & Banks, Best Buy, and any yarn store that's close enough to get to.

What is your greatest fear or strange phobia?

I'm afraid of missing out on things that are going on.  I'm also afraid of being alone, I guess.  Although I don't mind being alone, I wouldn't want it permanently.

What is your greatest accomplishment?

Raising $5,000 to go to Europe?  Graduating from homeschool highschool?  Saying yes to a small child, instead of a lazy no?  There's probably a few.

What are your favorite animals?

Cats, cats, cats. Definitely cats.  I also like otters and hedgehogs.

Are you a hopeless romantic?

Heh, probably.

What movie or book character can you most relate to?

Katherine from Stepping Heavenward.  She was probably written to be just like girls, but I'll risk sounding cliche and say that it seems like she was written just for me.

  1. I love fun fact posts. Always highly interesting.

Those 'one word' questions always stump me though. Especially since they always read 'how would others describe you in one word'. I mean, how am I supposed to know that, go about taking a poll? I would be too scared of the answer! I think you picked a right one, though.

If you inherit a million dollars, by all means travel to Europe, and don't feel selfish doing it. Unless of course you blow the whole million drifting around for two or three years. Then maybe you should feel a little selfish? But you wouldn't.

Would you really like to live in Chile? I remember you were really enthusiastic about the idea a while ago, but am glad you can't. There's selfishness for you. There are a lot of places I would love to visit; Europe, particularly England, Ireland, Scotland, and Wales, and I wouldn't mind visiting Australia, and I would love to see parts of Canada, but to live? Just somewhere in the good ol' States.

Indecently, though I like to the think of myself as 'passionate' I am rather afraid other people would see me as 'opinionated'.
