Capture - Vintage

We had three submissions in this last category, and I'm sorry about how late I am in getting it up! I thought that I had said it was to be open until the middle of June, but it was actually to the 10th. Oops! Anyway, here are the great submissions for Musical Instruments!

Since I've been on a vintage kick lately, I thought that it would provide the perfect theme for this week's challenge! Vintage it is. Don't forget, that sometimes adding a texture, or gradient to your picture will give it just the right feel.

I can't wait to see your submissions, so link up!

  1. I'm desperately racking my brains to think of what I could photograph that is vintage. Why is this so hard?

    It's alright if you don't find anything that is truly vintage, but then maybe when you edit the photo you can make it look vintage! Or, you could go to an antiques store, if there is one in your area. Sometimes though, you just have to look around at things at home, until you find something, and realize, that it IS kind of vintage! :)

  3. Hi Eyebright! I found your blog off of Beauty Design Studio, and I wish I had found it sooner! I will definitely be following and participating in your photography challenges (as long as I can think of something vintage to post... hmmm...)

    PS. Per your question on the sidebar, I found the code for the sidebar in the html under
    #wide-sidebar-wrapper. It could also be under #left-sidebar-wrapper. Either way, you can add in right underneath that:

    border-top:#(the color you want) 1px sold;
    border-left:# 1px solid;
    border-right:# 1px sold;

    Hope that helps!

  5. I added a free cumpeled paper layer to my picture to give it just the right feel! I am still working on photography, but I am so glad I can fool with picture!
